Right, folks. Remember what I said, about 30 years ago, internet-time? (Really only a couple weeks, real time. The ‘net moves fast, dunnit?) Well, here’re a few more announcement-link-type-thingies I’ve been sitting on.
Let’s get right to it, shall we?
Debut! After You!
This particular announcement makes me happy, because it’s about someone whom I’ve actually met in real life. See those Philly Lit Nights I occasionally blog about? The ones Frankie and I organize? Well, Jessica Corra’s a Philly area writer, and when she came to her first PLN, her book wasn’t even out on submission yet.
And now? Well, I’ll let the images do the talking.
Yes, that’s the Publishers Lunch Weekly email.
Yes, that’s Jess’s debut sale announcement!
So why not click through to her blog and congratulate her, eh? Or, y’know, follow her on Twitter, since she’s there too.
Oh, and just for fun? Here’s a book trailer. Because I like you.
Waves. Making Them.
And speaking of debuts, someone else I know has a book on the shelves right now. She’s not particularly YA, and nor is the book. What she is, though, is funny.
Also, she loves a good double entendre. Or even a bad one. And dirty jokes.
Also, also, I impersonated her a while back. Except sans heels and lacy underthings.
Who am I talking about? Why, the (almost) inimitable Tawna Fenske, of course!
I swear she’s not paying me for this. Alas.
Y’know the best thing about Tawna’s debut, though? It’s been getting killer reviews. Seriously.
I couldn’t be happier for her, writer-friends. Not only does she have a great sense of humor, she’s also one of the most encouraging writer-bloggers around. It’s always awesome when a genuinely cool person achieves success.
So go check out her book, her blog, and her Twitter feed, y’all. (Those of you who don’t already know her, that is.) Just be sure to put down your beverage before reading her stuff. You and your keyboard will thank me.

Okay, that’s my good deed for the week, people. I’m off to kick puppies and take candy from babies to make up for this unwonted act of generosity.
Be sure to check back next week, though. My karma bank’ll be in dire need of replenishment by then, I’m sure, so I’ll talk up a few more friends with new book releases.
Now where’s my vodka?
